AAEE Awards Program

Each year, AAEE seeks nominations for awards in FIVE categories.

The Priscilla A. Scotlan Award for Distinguished Service honors an AAEE member who has made significant contributions to our national association over a period of years. This award is presented annually with the recipient being determined by the Awards and Recognition Committee; other awards and recognitions are presented as the board deems appropriate.

Members of the Awards and Recognition Committee will review all nominations for the following awards and will make recommendations to the board.

The Research/Publications Award honors individuals for outstanding efforts in research and/or publications. Nominations are open to both members and non-members of AAEE. Individuals are welcome and encouraged to nominate their own work for this award.

The Innovative Programs/Practices Award honors individuals for developing new programs or professional practices for career centers, or for education human resources offices. Nominees must be members of AAEE, and nominations must be submitted by the office which originated the program or practice.

Emeritus Membership honors AAEE members who have retired from educational career services or school human resources administration. Nominees must have given meritorious service to and be recognized as professional contributors to the professional activities of AAEE, as well as to state and regional educational career services or human resources organizations. Individuals are welcome and encouraged to nominate themselves for this award.

The Outstanding New Member Award honors one college career center professional and one school system human resources professional annually for outstanding accomplishments, contributions and/or service to AAEE within their first 5 years of membership.
