    1. Who should attend this year's events?

    Our annual conference covers professional development and networking opportunities for professionals from: career services, Colleges of Education, academic advising, K-12 recruitment, school system administration, non-profit and for-profit education-related organizations, and state departments of education.

    2. I have registered for the conference, does that also include a table at the Education Career Fair?

    No. Each event is separate, so you will need to register for the conference and career fair individually. There is a discount on the fair registration for AAEE members who are also attending the conference.

    3. What is the location of the 2018 AAEE Conference and Education Career Fair?
    Both the conference and the career fair will be held at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch315 Chestnut Street, St. Louis, MO, 63102. If you are in need of a hotel room for our conference and/or career fair, you can access our room block through October 15, 2018, or until the block is sold out. Rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis.

    4. Are there recommendations for transportation from the St. Louis Lambert International Airport to the Hyatt Regency?

    • MetroLink (St. Louis light rail system) (Red Line, airport to 8th & Pine metro stop, appx. 35 mins; 5 block walk to hotel): appx. $4 (metrostlouis.org)
    • Taxi (15 miles/20 minutes): appx. $40-50
    • Uber (15 miles/20 minutes): appx. $25-35
    • AAEE has partnered with Go Best, the only shuttle service to operate from the St. Louis Airport. If attendees use the link in the image below, they will receive a 10% discount on both one-way and round-trip transportation.

    5. What can I expect if I need to park my vehicle?

    • Self-parking – The Hyatt Regency offers self-parking on-site, based on limited availability, for $29 per night (+ tax), and includes in and out privileges. Nearby, public self-parking is available at the Mansion House Garage for $16 per day with no in/out privileges (enter at Mansion House Apartments), and at the Kiener East Garage for $20 per day with no in/out privileges. 
    • Valet Parking at the Hyatt Regency - Offered to overnight guests for $39 per night (+ tax), and includes in and out privileges.

    7. Are my meals included in the conference fee? 

    All meals are included in your conference registration except for Thursday evening's “Night on the Town,” which involves dinner on your own. There will be a sign-up sheet at the registration table to attend some featured restaurants as a group, or you can explore on your own.

    8. What's the weather like in St. Louis? 

    Here’s an AccuWeather link. As is typical for INDOOR hotel temperatures, we would suggest you wear layers of clothing so that you can adjust as needed.

    9. Should I bring business cards? 

    Bring lots! We’ll be doing an intentional networking event, and throughout the conference it is common practice to exchange business cards. Building professional relationships is an intentional goal of our AAEE conferences!

    12. Why would I bring giveaway items from my organization? 

    Everybody likes some swag!  We’ll give you an opportunity to tout your organization (or city/state!) with your giveaways. Please bring several items for our popular AAEE Competition for Giveaways and you’ll walk away with some new swag, too.

    At the conclusion of the conference, we will be giving away special items like a free AAEE membership and free AAEE 2018 conference registration. You must be present to win!

    14. Come prepared for the Silent Auction

    15. I am unable to attend the conference and/or career fair, can I receive a refund?

    Our Refund Policy: A $50 cancellation administration fee will be deducted from all refunds. All refunds must be requested in writing. Refund policy is based on day written cancellation is received.

    In addition to the $50 cancellation administration fee, the following refund policy applies: October 7, 2018 and before: 100% refund minus $50; October 8 - 31, 2018: 50% refund minus $50; November 1 and after: no refunds.

    Refunds will be processed after 10/31/18.
