In K-12 education, two types of people are hired in HR: HR professionals with no K-12 knowledge, or K-12 educators with no HR knowledge. With most new hires facing a steep and swift learning curve, it can be a challenge to hit the ground running. This webinar will focus on giving guidance to anyone new to the unique K-12 human resources profession.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will:
(1) be able to name the 5 key areas of focus for HR in K-12 education,
(2) be able to identify key stakeholders and why they are important,
(3) understand the basic laws and logistics of the field, and
(4) have tools for working with principals, administration, and hiring managers.
