Self-Compassion in the Workplace

Tuesday, August 11, 2020 @ 2:00PM CDT

Presented by Stanford-trained compassion facilitator Sara Schairer.

  • Why compassion training?
  • Educators often suffer from burnout during "normal" school years. A global pandemic, and the uncertainty it brings, heightens educator stress and increases levels of burnout.
  • By developing a culture of compassion, you can create resilient and compassionate teams. Compassion can prevent burnout, help team members skillfully manage stress, and create cohesiveness.
  • Self-compassion workshop participants will be able to:
  • Define self-compassion
  • Understand how self-compassion promotes resilience
  • Set intentions to make self-compassion a habit
  • Create action steps to promote self-compassion within their teams

  • Please ask participants to bring: 1 - Notebook and pen for reflection
