Presented by Report co-author Dr. Nicole Simon, Upbeat CEO, Henry Wellington, and Upbeat Leadership Coach and former Superintendent of Alexandria City Public Schools, Dr. Lois Berlin

Upbeat partnered with several districts to administer the Teaching From Home survey this past spring to 7,200 teachers across different states and teaching backgrounds. They've analyzed the results and shared their findings in the report: Teachers' Experiences Working From Home During the COVID-19 Pandemic. Report co-author Dr. Nicole Simon, Upbeat CEO, Henry Wellington, and Upbeat Leadership Coach and former Superintendent of Alexandria City Public Schools, Dr. Lois Berlin will lead the webinar discussing the findings from the survey.

Nicole Simon
Nicole Simon is a University Academic Affairs Director at CUNY. Simon earned her doctorate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she remains a research affiliate with Harvard's Project on the Next Generation of Teachers. She served as a Harvard Presidential Public Service Fellow at Boston Public Schools and as a Radcliffe/Rappaport Policy Fellow at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Simon began her career at the Urban Assembly School for Law and Justice, a Brooklyn public school. She is the author of several book chapters and co-author of articles published by Teachers College Record, Educational Leadership, and Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis.

Henry Wellington
Henry Wellington is the founder and CEO of Upbeat. After teaching middle school Special Education in New York City district and charter schools, Henry supported education technology companies in their sales and marketing strategies at Whiteboard Advisors. He also played a key role in the implementation of blended learning and evaluation of education technology products for Citizen Schools.

Lois Berlin
During her more than forty years in education, Dr. Lois Berlin taught middle school special needs students for five years near Aberdeen, Scotland and then became a teacher in the Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) in the US. During her 24 years in ACPS, she served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Associate Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. In 2004 she was appointed Superintendent of the Falls Church City Public Schools in Falls Church, Virginia where she served until her retirement in 2011. In 2017, Lois came out of retirement to serve as Interim Superintendent of Alexandria City Public Schools for one year.
