    In addition to the $50 cancellation administration fee, the following refund policy applies: September 8, 2017 and before: 100% refund minus $50; September 9 - 30, 2017: 50% refund minus $50; October 1 and after: no refunds.

    ABOUT THE WEBINAR:

    A Coming Crisis in Teaching? Teacher Supply, Demand, and Shortages in the US 
    Wednesday, November 15, 2017 @ 2PM EST

    Across the nation, critical teacher shortages are causing districts to scramble to find qualified teachers in math, science, special education, bilingual education, and other fields--with the most severe shortages in the highest need schools. At the same time, demand is growing for teachers who teach in more complex ways to an increasingly diverse student population. This presentation will present new data on the extent and nature of current teacher shortages. It will launch a conversation on the most effective ways to create a strong profession that attracts and retains a talented and diverse teaching force in every school and for all communities. 

    Upon completion of this webinar, participants will take away:

    (1) The teacher shortage is national in scope, but varies by location and subject area. 

    (2) Teacher attrition is one of the biggest drivers of shortages. 

    (3) There are no silver bullets, but an evidence-based and coordinated effort can help solve teacher shortages and establish a strong and stable workforce in the U.S.
