This Terms of Service Agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into between the American Association for Employment in Education (AAEE), with its registered address at PO Box 510, Sycamore, IL 60178, and the members of the AAEE (the "Members").
1. Purpose
AAEE is an association for professionals in the education industry. Its mission is to provide networking opportunities, resources, and support for its Members in their employment endeavors.
2. Membership Commitment
2.1 Term
By becoming a Member of AAEE, you agree to a membership commitment for a specified term as specified at the time of joining or renewal.
2.2 Non-Refundable
The membership commitment fee is non-refundable.
3. Membership Benefits and Responsibilities
3.1 Benefits
As a Member of AAEE, you will have access to various benefits, including but not limited to:
a. Exclusive networking opportunities with other education professionals.
b. Access to resources and publications related to the education industry.
c. Discounted rates for events, conferences, and workshops organized by AAEE.
3.2 Responsibilities
As a Member, you agree to:
a. Abide by the AAEE Code of Conduct.
b. Respect and adhere to the policies and guidelines set forth by AAEE.
c. Provide accurate and up-to-date information during the membership application process.
d. Pay the membership commitment fee within the specified timeframe.
e. Maintain professionalism and integrity in all interactions within the AAEE community.
4. Termination
4.1 Voluntary Termination
You have the right to terminate your membership at any time by providing written notice to AAEE Executive Director at execdir@aaee.org.
4.2 Termination by AAEE
AAEE reserves the right to terminate your membership in the following circumstances:
a. Breach of the Code of Conduct or any AAEE policies.
b. Failure to pay the membership commitment fee within the specified timeframe.
c. Engaging in any activity that may harm the reputation or operations of AAEE.
d. Any other reason as deemed necessary by AAEE.
4.3 Consequences of Termination
In the event of termination, you will not be entitled to any refund of the membership commitment fee.
5. Intellectual Property
All materials, resources, and publications provided by AAEE are protected by copyright and are the intellectual property of AAEE or its respective partners. Members may use these materials for personal use only and shall not reproduce, distribute, or sell them without prior written consent from AAEE.
6. Limitation of Liability
AAEE shall not be liable for any damages, whether direct or indirect, incurred by the Members in relation to their membership or participation in any AAEE activities.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Illinois. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Illinois.
By becoming a Member of AAEE, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
